Spadea

This study has already taught me one thing: I learned a new word. It’s “spadea” (also spelled “spadia.”)

A spadea is a separately printed, unbound broadsheet (or a part thereof) that is folded around a newspaper to create a partial flap over the front and back.

Today, the Daily used a spadea for the first time to launch our study, Imagine the Future:  Campus Media in a Digital Age. Lori Brooks, our associate director and features adviser, designed it, and I think it looked very cool. What do you think?
